Beautiful painted nails.
Few weeks ago I met Liga, who is a nail artist and she mentioned she is entering a competition and need some images for her work. She ask me to photograph the model with her nail painted. I always enjoy working on interesting projects and this one is on the money.

We have done 2 sets of images, one with bubbles and another without the bubbles, I want to give it a vintage look, with the vintage umbrella and mid-key lighting. I want to skeleton of the umbrella to contrast of the colourful painted nails. The umbrella happens to be a diffuser for the hair light too. Me and Liga are very happy with the result.

I think the first image is the best of the first set, without the smile.
Going for the vintage look with bubbles, I thought it would be nice to have a bit smile. which really works, the colour of the bubble really adds something.
The second images is the the second set where we add the bubbles, its tricky to get the bubbles in the desired positions, as you might imaging, so we just basically tried and tried till we get what we want. We both love the result.
Sadly we did not win but we are not giving up, Liga is coming back next week to do another session. Really looking forward to it.
